Glassine paper is a transparent ,resilient paper. It is made using a process called calendering. The beaten pulp fibres are squeezed into moulds and then set to dry into sheets. The sheets are then rolled through hot rollers, resulting in an extremely smooth paper.
Its production process is different from the ordinary coated paper. The coated paper passes through the drying oven first and passes through a large diameter surface like a mirror in the semi dry state. The coating replicates the surface of the cylinder and forms a smooth surface in the drying process. Its surface is much smoother than white card, white card, white board paper is coated after drying, and then through the super calender to achieve a relatively smooth surface
