Application skills of stretch film in packaging industry

1. The horizontal mechanical packaging is different from other packaging. The film is turned around the article, which is suitable for the packaging of long articles, such as carpets, wood boards, fiberboards, profiled materials, etc.;

2. Paper tube packaging This is one of the latest uses of stretch film, which is very good compared to the old-fashioned paper tube packaging of stretch film. The suitable film thickness is 30-120μm;

3. Full width packaging This kind of packaging requires that the width of the film is enough to cover the tray, and the shape of the tray is regular, so if used, the film thickness suitable for stretch film is 17 to 35 microns;

4. Packaging of pipes and cables. This is one of the applications of the enclosure in special areas. For example, at the end of the production line of packaging equipment, fully active stretching of the film can replace the tape binding data and also maintain the effect. Applicable thickness is 15～30μm;

5. Sealed packaging This kind of packaging is similar to shrink film packaging. It wraps the tray around it, then two heat grips heat seal the ends together. This is the earliest application of stretch film, and therefore more packaging methods have been developed;

6. Stretch film winding machine packaging This is the most widely used mechanical packaging method. The tray rotates or the film rotates around the tray. The film is fixed on the bracket and can move up and down. This kind of packaging is very large, about 15-18 plates per hour. The suitable film thickness is about 15-25μm;

7. Craft packaging This kind of packaging is the simplest one in stretch film packaging. The film is racked or held by hand, and the tray is rolled or the film rotates around the tray. It is mainly used for scratch packaging after the package tray is damaged, and ordinary tray packaging. This kind of packaging speed is slow, and the suitable film thickness is 15-20 μm;

8. Packaging of small items This is the latest stretch film packaging method, which can not only reduce material costs, but also reduce the storage space of the pallet. Overseas, this packaging was launched in 1984, but it went on the market only a year later. There are many such packaging forms, and the potential of this packaging method is endless. A suitable film thickness is 15-30 μm.
