How to choose mica board

1. See if there are obvious defects on the surface of the mica board
The surface of the decorative mica board should be bright and free of burrs, planing marks, glue penetration and board surface pollution (such as local blackening and yellowing). Try to choose a mica board with no cracks, cracks, nodules, wallets, resin bags and glue grooves on the surface. The natural warpage of the whole board should be as small as possible to prevent the sand from infiltrating into the substrate and being exposed due to improper operation of the mica roller by the sanding process.
2. Understand the difference between veneer veneer and natural wood veneer mica board
The former mica board is basically straight, and the pattern is regular; the latter mica board is a natural wood grain, and the pattern and picture are naturally variable and irregular.
3. Visual inspection of mica board
The appearance of decorative mica board should have good aesthetics. The material should be fine and uniform, the color should be clear, and the wood grain should be beautiful. The lines of the mica board and the parquet should be arranged according to certain rules, the wood color should be similar, and the seams should be almost parallel to the edge of the board.
4. The structure of the adhesive layer of the mica board is stable and does not open the glue
It should be noted that there should be no bulging or delamination between the outer veneer of the mica board and the substrate, and between the inner layer of the substrate.
5. Mica boards with low formaldehyde emission should be selected
Do not choose decorative mica boards with a pungent odor. The greater the odor of the mica board, the higher the release of formaldehyde, the more serious the pollution and the greater the harm.
