Peeling force of Silicone Release Paper

The peeling force of the release paper mainly depends on the formula and coating amount of silicone oil. When the formula of silicone oil remains unchanged, the amount of coating directly affects the release performance. A higher coating weight can make the base paper or coated base paper densely covered and ensure that the silicone oil is evenly distributed.
However, if the coating amount of silicone oil is relatively small, phenomenon such as missing coating is likely to occur, resulting in poor peeling. In order to save costs, some release agent suppliers have reduced the coating amount of silicone oil, resulting in serious peeling and producing thick release paper, which is risky when used.
Peel force at room temperature, the peel force data obtained by using Tesa7475 at room temperature through a standard test method, the unit is N/25mm, which can be converted into grams.

1. The general peeling force is 0.15N/25mm, which is about 15 grams, commonly known as light peeling;
2. 0.250N/25mm, that is, 20-30 grams of peeling force, commonly known as medium peeling;
3. 0.4~0.6N/25mm, that is, the peeling force of 40-60 grams, commonly known as heavy peeling;
4. Of course, there is also a peeling force of 0.03~0.05N/25mm, that is, 3~5 grams, commonly known as ultra-light peeling;
5. There is also a peeling force of 1.00N/25mm, that is, more than 100 grams, commonly known as overweight peeling.

Residual tack refers to the force of the release paper after the first peel and the second peel. The calculated data mainly reflect the curing effect of silicone oil.
The test of release paper technical indicators is a relatively complicated project. General electronics factories and tape factories can only test the last few data.
