Release paper, also known as silicone oil paper. It consists of three-layer structure, the first layer: base  paper; the second layer: coating film: the third layer: silicone oil. Can be used in electronic products, automotive foam, printing, food, medical and so on. In most cases, it is used with sticky materials, especially adhesive tapes.


During production of prepreg, release paper is placed on both the upper and lower sides of the prepreg, and the lower release paper is stored and attached to the prepreg as the prepreg is wound, so the surface of the prepreg is usually protected by a layer of release paper. The function of the release paper is to prevent the prepreg from being contaminated, and it can also provide convenience for scribing on its surface. Another function of the release paper is to prevent the lateral cracking of the unidirectional prepreg.


The release paper should meet the following requirements: it can stick to the prepreg, but it is easy to separate the two; it does not chemically react with the resin system or pollute the resin system; when the ambient temperature and humidity change, the length and width of the release paper should be Keep it unchanged, so as not to cause the release paper to wrinkle and wrinkle the prepreg; it should be dense enough to prevent moisture from entering the prepreg through it; the elongation of the release paper after being pulled should be the same as that of the fiber. Keep it consistent to prevent the prepreg from being deformed or twisted due to unsynchronized drafting during the preparation process; its thickness and mass per unit area are not easy to precisely control.


The release paper is made of paper coated with anti-sticking substances, and its model should be distinguished according to the difference in material, thickness, elongation, and single and double sides.


Purpose



(1) Glassine (the bottom paper is Glassine) silicone oil paper: high temperature resistance, moisture resistance, oil resistance, generally used for packaging in the food industry. Glassine (white, blue, turmeric) release paper: It has the functions of high temperature resistance, moisture resistance, oil resistance, etc. It is generally used in the packaging of food, medicine and other industries. High-speed automatic labeling of special tapes, double-sided tape substrate labels, laser anti-counterfeiting labels and other release applications, etc. The backing paper is dense and uniform in texture, with good internal strength and light transmittance. It is a common material for making barcode labels, stickers, tapes or sticky industrial products, especially suitable for rotary and flat cross cutting.



(2) Ordinary release paper: moisture-proof and oil-proof, which plays a role in isolating the product. Applicable industries: electronics, automotive foam, printing, etc. Most of its use ranges are combined with sticky ones, especially tapes. Therefore, release paper is generally used in products that use tape. Light release type, ordinary release type, heavy release type, can be made according to needs. Suitable for self-adhesive, advertising decoration materials, 3D printing transfer industry, protective film lamination, electronics, die-cutting, circuit boards and other industries.

Sort by color:


A, single silicon white release paper, which means one side is plain paper and the other side is silicone oil, which is more commonly used.


B, single silicon yellow (blue) release paper, refers to the release paper with yellow (blue) on both sides.



Classified by silicone oil



According to the presence or absence of silicone oil, it can be divided into silicone oil paper and coated paper.



Detailed classification:



The classification of release paper can be classified by plastic release paper and non-plastic release paper; silicone release paper and non-silicon release paper can also be classified by release agent.


1. Laminated release paper


After the base paper is coated, the release agent is coated on the coated surface to produce the release paper.


Because there are paper wool and fibers on the surface of the paper, the coating must reach a certain amount to ensure that there is no penetration point, to ensure that the silicone oil will not penetrate into the paper, and to ensure that there will be no poor peeling. Generally, the coating amount of coated paper is 16 grams per square meter. It is said that Wenzhou area has achieved 11~13 grams per square meter, which is quite close to the coating data of foreign advanced equipment. In theory, as long as the tape can be peeled off from the release paper, the lowest amount of coating is allowed.


Laminated release paper is further divided into single-sprinkle and double-sprinkle. Generally, single-sided release paper is single-sprayed. Of course, there are also double-sprayed single-sided release paper. Because the release surface is generally 20 grams thicker, the non-release surface is generally 15 grams thinner. This kind of release paper is relatively smooth.


If it is a coated paper with a double-sided coating amount of 22 grams, it is more suitable for double-sided release paper.


Coated release paper is generally made of wood pulp paper, especially in the electronics industry. If straw pulp paper is used, there will be a lot of paper scraps and easy to break edges during die cutting.


All wood pulp paper is generally referred to as kraft paper, such as natural kraft paper (commonly known as: Benniu), white kraft paper (commonly known as: White Niu), yellow kraft paper (commonly known as: Japanese yellow color cattle), blue kraft paper (commonly known as: Indonesian blue color cattle).


Of course, all-wood pulp double-adhesive paper is also used as the base paper, photographic paper is used as the base paper, and coated paper, white board paper, cow card, milk card and other papers are used as the base paper.


As long as the paper-plastic fastness of the lamination film can meet the requirements, as long as the lamination film has no penetration points and the lamination film is uniform and flat, any paper can be used as the base paper.


2. Glassine release paper


Glassine base paper is a release paper produced by coating release agent after overpressure.


Glassine is especially suitable for die-cutting factories because of its super calendering and the firmness of the paper.


Since domestic glassine can only produce 60~80 grams of quantitative, and die-cutting factories prefer to use more than 100 grams of quantitative, such as 120 grams, 140 grams. It has a certain degree of transparency, good stiffness and good die-cutting performance. All rely on imported base paper, but since the minimum quantity of imported base paper is 20 tons per container, and it must be booked 3 months in advance, the order must be paid in full. There are many domestic release coating suppliers who feel that it is of little significance.


3.CCK release paper


CCK base paper is a release paper produced by coating the surface with a layer of special clay and then coating it with a release agent.


Because of its high temperature resistance, it is widely used in the carbon fiber industry.


The clay on the surface of CCK base paper is very easy to damage the silicone, so there are still a few CCK release paper produced in China that can really pass the test.
