How to buy mica board?

1. Look for obvious defects on the surface of the mica board

The surface of the decorative mica board should be flat and clean, and there should be no burrs, cutting knife marks, glue penetration and board surface pollution (such as local blackening and yellowing). Try to choose a mica board with no cracks,  nodules, skins and glue channels on the surface. The natural warpage of the whole board should be as small as possible to avoid improper operation of the mica roll sanding process and the phenomenon of leaking sand.

2. Understand the difference between veneer and natural veneer mica board

The former mica board has straight and regular lines; the latter mica board is a natural wood grain, and the natural variability of pattern pictures is relatively large and irregular.

3. Appearance inspection of mica board

The appearance of the decorative mica board should have a good sense of beauty, the raw materials should be fine and uniform, the color should be clear, and the wood grain should be beautiful. The pattern of the matching board and mosaic of the mica board should be placed according to certain rules, close to the wood color, and the seam should be almost parallel to the edge of the board.

4. The structure of the adhesive layer of the mica board is stable and does not open the glue

It should be noted that there should be no bulging and delamination between the outer veneer and the substrate, and between the inner layer of the substrate.

5. Mica boards with low formaldehyde emission should be selected

Don't choose to decorate the mica board with a pungent smell. Because the odor of mica board is greater, the formaldehyde emission is higher, the pollution is more violent, and the harm is greater.
