What is a self-adhesive? Back coating is a protective coating on the back of the backing paper to prevent waste discharge. The adhesive around the rewinding label is bonded to the paper. Self-adhesive materials are divided into five categories
1. According to the classification of adhesive properties, it can be divided into permanent adhesive materials and removable adhesive materials;
2. According to the classification of adhesive coating technology, it can be divided into hot melt adhesive material, solvent adhesive material and emulsion adhesive material;
3. According to the classification of adhesive and chemical properties, it can be divided into rubber base and acrylic acid two kinds of self-adhesive materials;
4. According to the characteristics of the bottom paper, it is divided into opaque bottom paper, translucent bottom paper and transparent bottom paper three kinds of adhesive materials;
5. According to the characteristics of surface material, it is divided into paper adhesive material, film adhesive material and special adhesive material.
What is the basic structure and function of self-adhesive materials?
Self-adhesive is mainly composed of: surface coating, surface material, coating layer, adhesive, release coating, base paper and back coating or back printing, the composition of self-adhesive materials made the following description:
(1). Surface coating
Used to change the surface properties of the surface material. Such as improving the surface tension, changing the color, increasing the protective layer, so that it better accept ink and easy to print, to prevent dirt, increase the adhesion of ink and prevent the purpose of printing words and texts off. Surface coating is mainly used for non-absorbent materials, such as aluminum foil, aluminized paper and various film materials.
(2). Adhesive
The adhesive is the medium between the label material and the bonding base material. According to its characteristics can be divided into permanent and removable two. It has a variety of formulations, suitable for different toppings and different occasions. Adhesive is the most important component of self-adhesive material technology and the key of label application technology.
(3). Release coating (coated silicon layer)

(4). The bottom paper
The function of the base paper is to accept the release agent coating, protect the adhesive on the back of the surface material, support the surface material, so that it can be die-cutting, waste discharge and labeling on the labeling machine.
(5). The surface material
That is, the surface material, is the front side receives the printed text, the back side receives the adhesive and is finally applied to the paste on the material. Generally speaking, all flexible deformation materials can be used as the fabric of self-adhesive materials, such as common paper, film, composite foil, all kinds of textiles, thin metal sheets and rubber. The type of finish depends on the final application and printing process. The surface material should be suitable for printing and printing, have good inking properties, and have sufficient strength to accept various processing, such as die cutting, waste discharge, slitting, drilling and labeling.
(6). Back coating or back printing

(7), besmear bottom

D> Prevent the plasticizer in the plastic surface material from infiltrating into the adhesive, affecting the performance of the adhesive, resulting in the reduction of the adhesive force of the label and the label falling off.
Main uses of self-adhesive
1. Paper self-adhesive labels are mainly used for liquid washing products and popular personal care products; Thin film materials are mainly used in high-grade daily chemical products. Previously, popular personal care products and household liquid washing products occupy a large proportion in the market, so the corresponding paper materials are used more.
2. Film self-adhesive labels are commonly used in PE, PP, PVC and some other synthetic materials. Film materials are mainly white, matt and transparent. Because the printing suitability of thin film material is not very good, it is generally treated with corona or enhanced by adding coating on its surface to enhance its printing suitability. In order to avoid deformation or tearing of some film materials in the printing and labeling process, part of the material will also be treated by directional, one-way stretching or bidirectional stretching, such as bidirectional stretching BOPP material is quite common.
Self-adhesive labels are widely used in many fields. Bar code label commonly includes drug label, food label, wine label, battery label, outer container label, shampoo label, bar code label, semi-finished product temporary label and so on. Mainly film, mainly used for decorative decals on cars and motorcycles, logo text on the window of trademarks, reflective film on expressways, marks on containers, etc.
