Why Blue

Blue-tinted PET release film solves a practical problem on the production floor: telling the difference between liner and product. When you slit a roll of clear adhesive tape or label stock on a transparent liner, operators cannot see where the liner ends and the adhesive begins. A blue tint makes the liner immediately identifiable - reducing setup errors, speeding up visual inspection, and preventing the costly mistake of shipping product with the liner still attached.

Beyond color identification, the blue PET substrate delivers the same performance as clear PET: high tensile strength, dimensional stability, heat resistance, and a smooth surface for uniform silicone coating. The tint is added to the film during extrusion - it is embedded in the PET, not printed or coated on, so it will not rub off, bleed, or contaminate the adhesive.

The silicone coating is tested to hold release consistency after 48 hours of accelerated aging at 60°C and 80% relative humidity - no residual adhesion loss, no coating transfer.
