Analysis of camera adhesive die-cutting process
Nov 01, 2024
The camera lens is a high-precision consumer product, which requires strict standards and specifications for component processing accuracy, assembly precision, and tooling. Additionally, ultra-precise manufacturing and testing equipment are needed for its production. The adhesive and die-cutting process around the lens also demands the utmost attention to detail. Here, we will break down the camera back adhesive die-cutting process.
1. Process Name: Camera Back Adhesive Process
2. Product Purpose:
To be applied on the camera lens area, protecting the lens from damage.
3. Product Details:
Tooling Used: A die with a "one-to-seven" configuration.
Step Size: The product jump distance is 10.8mm.
Product Dimensions: 8.8mm * 7.2mm.
4. Required Materials and Specifications:
Material 1: 0.075mm blue release film (30g), 72mm width.
Material 2: 3M300-LSE adhesive (67mm width).
Material 3: 0.075mm clear release film (30g), 95mm width.
Both release films have one side with a release coating to ensure cleanliness, while the adhesive film has a high bonding strength to ensure effective adhesion.
Product Steps:
Material Characteristics:
The 0.075mm blue release film (30g) has a width of 72mm, and its release surface ensures cleanliness.
The 3M300-LSE is the adhesive material with a width of 67mm, offering strong adhesion.
The 0.075mm clear release film (30g), with a 95mm width, ensures easy handling during the process.
1. Adhesion Step:
Step 1: Place the 0.075mm clear release film on the feeder shaft of the bonding machine, ensuring the material is positioned straight and fixed with the release side facing up.
Step 2: Align the 3M300-LSE adhesive film centrally and apply it onto the release surface of the 0.075mm clear release film.
2. First Die-Cutting Step:
The die should cut through the adhesive paper backing of the 3M300-LSE film.
Ensure that all holes are fully cut and the waste material is completely removed.
3. Adhesion Step:
Step 3: Peel off the paper backing from the 3M300-LSE adhesive film on the bonding machine.
Step 4: Apply the 0.075mm blue release film (60g) onto the adhesive layer.
4. Second Die-Cutting Step:
The die should cut through the 0.075mm blue release film.
Ensure the semi-circular holes are fully cut and waste material is removed.
5. Third Die-Cutting Step:
The die should cut along the outer perimeter of the 0.075mm blue release film.
The bottom 0.075mm clear release film should not be cut through during this step.
This detailed process ensures a precise and effective die-cutting and adhesion assembly for the camera's back adhesive, with strict attention to each stage to prevent defects and ensure a high-quality end product.
